I rinsed the old ink out with tap water and installed a new black cartridge. The writing is smooth. The box contained instructions and a 1973 calendar. The paper box shows some damage. There is no visible damage to the case or the fountain pen itself. I'll include an extra box of cartridges (purchased on Mercari in April) as a bonus.
